Magdalena Gruziel – dyrygent

Mgdalena_GruzielA conductor, a pedagogue. A graduate of Rhythmics Faculty at Music Education Department of Fryderyk Chopin Music Academy in Warsaw and Postgraduate Choirmaster Studies at Conducting, Jazz, Music Education Department of F. Nowowiejski Music Academy in Bydgoszcz. Since 2015 she has been teaching ballet pedagogy at Choral Conducting, Music Education, Church Music, Rhythmics and Dance Department of Fryderyk Chopin Music University. She cooperates professionally with Karol Szymanowski State Music Schools Group nr 4 and R. Turczynowicz Ballet High School in Warsaw. She has been singing in various choirs and chamber bands, eg. Alla Polacca Choir conducted by Sabina Włodarska, Jeunesses Musicales Polish Choir conducted by Ewa Strusińska, Musica Aeterna Vocal Band conducted by Andrzej Borzym Jr. She has participated in many competitions and concerts in Poland and abroad, f.ex in Austria, Belgium, Germany, Spain, France and the USA. She has performed in Teatr Wielki – National Opera staging “The gates of Eden”, “Cyganeria”, “Tosca”, “Paradise lost”, “Widma”, “The Nutcracker”, “Little Chimney sweep”, “About the princess who didn’t want to sleep”, “Mr Marimba”. She has taken part in recording many CDs released by Alla Pollacca Fundation. She has recorded a CD with “The cantate to St. Cecilia” by F. Lessel together with Jeunesses Musicales Polish Choir released by Acte Prealable music company and nominated to Fryderyk award in 2000. She has participated in recording “Chorał Sarmacki I: Grzegorz Gerwazy Gorczycki and Chorał Piotrkowski” together with TEMPUS vocal quartet released by DUX music company in 2013. She is a conductor of Sirenes Chamber Choir. Additionally, she works as an assistant conductor of The Chamber Choir of Warsaw University of Life Sciences and Varsoviae Regii Cantores Chamber Choir.

Joanna Maluga – conductor

Choirmaster, conductor, pedagogue. In 2013 she obtained a PhD in conducting. (Since 2013 a PhD in music arts – conducting). A graduate of the choral conducting department at the Chopin Academy of Music in Warsaw (outstanding diploma). She continued her studies at the F. Liszt Academy of Music in Budapest, where she got Advanced Diploma in Choral Conducting. In 2014 she got her diploma in Postgraduate Voice Training and Choral Conducting Studies at the F. Nowowiejski Academy of Music in Bydgoszcz (Poland).

She developed her conducting skills at the maserclasses of prof. Peter Erdei (Hungary), prof. Ragnar Rasmussen (Norway), prof. Johannes Prinz (Austria). She was the scholarship holder of the Balassi Institute, International Kodály Society, Hungarian Scholarship Board and twice Foundation for the Kodály Institute.

Together with the choirs she leads she was awarded many prizes at the most important choral festivals and competitions in Poland. She conducted many premiere performances of the contemporary choral compositions of such composers as: Eunho Chang, Aleksandra Gryka, Piotr Tabakiernik, Ignacy Zalewski. As a conductor she worked with Vox animae chamber choir (Croatia), APZ Tone Tomšič Univerze v Ljubljani (Slovenia), Coro da Camera di Varese (Italy), Mixed Choir of the F. Liszt Academy of Music (Hungary).

Joanna Maluga founded Varsoviae Regii Cantores Chamber Choir of which she is a conductor. Since June 2011 she is the vice-director of the Varsoviae Regii Cantores Society. A conductor of the Warsaw University of Life Sciences Chamber Choir. She leads a constant cooperation with the Hungarian Institute in Warsaw in the field of Zoltan Kodály music education concept. An assistant professor at the F. Nowowiejski Academy of Music in Bydgoszcz.

Mateusz Mularczyk – dyrygent asystent

MateuszMularczykStudent Akademii Muzycznej im. Feliksa Nowowiejskiego w Bydgoszczy na kierunku dyrygentura chóralna w klasie dyrygowania ad. dr Joanny Malugi i w klasie emisji głosu prof. Krzysztofa Szydzisza. Sztukę dyrygencką doskonali na licznych kursach prowadzonych przez specjalistów z kraju i zagranicy m. in. Philipa Lawsona, Agnieszkę Franków-Żelazny, Jacka Sykulskiego. Jest kierownikiem artystycznym cyklu spotkań „Porozmawiajmy o sztuce…” organizowanych w Miejskim Ośrodku Kultury w Piastowie.Był członkiem wielu renomowanych zespołów chóralnych takich jak Polski Narodowy Chór Młodzieżowy, czy Chór Kameralny Akademii Muzycznej w Bydgoszczy. Jako dyrygent współpracował z chórem Canto z Miejskiego Ośrodka Kultury w Piastowie, chórem żeńskim Primo, zespołem studentów Akademii Muzycznej w Bydgoszczy, chórem Wydziału Dyrygentury, Jazzu i Edukacji Muzycznej Akademii Muzycznej w Bydgoszczy, chórem dziecięcym Sereno z Łochowa. Jest kierownikiem artystycznym zespołu The Project, działającego przy Miejskim Ośrodku Kultury w Piastowie, założycielem i dyrygentem żeńskiego zespołu Soni Spectrum, dyrygentem asystentem w chórze kameralnym Varsoviae Regii Cantores, a także członkiem zarządu Stowarzyszenia VRC. W kręgu jego zainteresowań leży współczesna literatura chóralna oraz nietradycyjne metody pracy z chórem.
